Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Estimator role based in Goshen, IN. The Project Estimator will review plans, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Daily responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing labor and material costs, requesting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes, and preparing detailed bid proposals. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and field teams to clarify scope, update estimates as project conditions change, and support budgeting and value-engineering efforts.
The Project Estimator will maintain cost databases, track historical pricing, and help refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation, including reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications.
- Experience with Cost Management and Budgeting, with the ability to track, forecast, and analyze project costs.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general office applications; familiarity with electrical construction tools and terminology is a plus.
- Prior experience in electrical or general construction estimating preferred; relevant technical training or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
