Our client, a leading General Contractor specialising in mission-critical construction, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to join the delivery team on a landmark 400 MW hyperscale data center campus in Northern Indiana.
This is a rare opportunity to join a major greenfield development from the earliest stages of construction. Building works have only recently commenced, offering the successful candidate the chance to oversee mechanical installation works from the ground up. Phase 2 is scheduled for completion in mid-2027, with additional phases planned as the campus continues to expand.
The RoleReporting to the Senior Project Management team, you'll be responsible for leading all on-site mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works across the project.
- Coordinating mechanical subcontractors to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Monitoring productivity, quality, and site safety.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
- Reviewing drawings and identifying potential construction or coordination issues
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent with a proven track record delivering large, technically complex construction projects.
Requirements:- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Mechanical Superintendent role
- Experience delivering large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Data center experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Candidates from advanced manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, power generation, pharmaceutical, or other complex industrial environments are encourage d to apply.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, chilled water, and piping systems.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and subcontractor management skills
Salary up to $220,000, depending on experience. Excellent bene fits package. Permanent position with a leading GC. Relocation assistance available. Alternatively, a travelling arrangement can be considered, including two return flights home per month.
