Become A Traffic Flagger in Seattle

Flaggers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction workers, motorists, and pedestrians near work zones.

As a flagger, youll be on the front lines of traffic control, ensuring everyone on or near the road stays safe. Its a job that requires excellent communication skills, a keen sense of awareness, and a passion for keeping people safe. Flaggers are responsible for directing traffic around work zones using stop/slow signs, monitoring traffic flow, ensuring that vehicles follow speed limits, and communicating with other members of the team via hand signals or two-way radios.

Flaggers are also responsible for keeping people safe in work zones by making sure that construction workers and pedestrians follow safety protocols.

At Preferred Traffic Control, we are invested in your success and dedicated to supporting our team members as they advance their careers. We provide training for the Washington State Flagger Certification, including paying for the 1-day class and compensating for time in the class.
