The Client is seeking a highly motivated Scheduler to support major construction projects for the company and its clients. This is a contract opportunity based in New Carlisle/South Bend, Indiana, with candidates located anywhere in the U.S. considered if they are highly willing to travel to client projects on a long-term basis. The Scheduler will work closely with construction, engineering, project management, contractors, and other project services teams, using technologies such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam to develop, maintain, analyze, and report comprehensive project schedules.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction Scheduler to take on $50M+ projects with significant visibility and impact. You’ll be involved from conceptual planning through engineering and construction, working directly with Owners, General Contractors, Architects/Engineers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex scheduling challenges, influencing project outcomes, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are exactly alike.
With exposure to major construction and infrastructure projects, this position offers an opportunity to strengthen your project controls expertise while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of related project scheduling experience.
- Background in general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing construction, technology, or infrastructure industries, including utilities, communications, buildings, or energy.
- Proficiency in gathering, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing schedule data.
- Strong understanding of schedule logic, constraints, activity durations, resource availability, sequencing, and project milestones.
- Experience evaluating the impact of design changes and schedule delays.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Willingness and ability to travel 70%+ to client project locations.

What You Will Be Doing
- 40% Primavera P6 (P6) – Develop, maintain, update, and analyze detailed project schedules.
- 25% Microsoft Project – Project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
- 15% Bluebeam – Review project documentation, drawings, and construction information.
- 20% Scheduling & Project Controls – Schedule analysis, reporting, metrics, sequencing, and schedule optimization.
Daily Responsibilities
- 40% Hands-On Scheduling – Develop and maintain project schedules from conceptual planning through engineering and construction; establish schedule logic, constraints, activity durations, milestones, and sequencing.
- 20% Schedule Analysis & Risk Management – Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, evaluate design changes, assess resource availability, and determine impacts to project completion.
- 20% Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, contractors, Owners, General Contractors, A/E firms, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
- 10% Reporting & Communication – Provide regular schedule updates, progress reports, statistical reports, and project metrics to company leadership and clients.
- 10% Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to optimize scheduling processes, improve workflows, integrate detailed schedule fragments, and implement innovative technologies or methodologies.
