Mechanical Superintendent

This position is in Jasper, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of teams of self-perform solar installation crews.
• Monitor and manage the project's expenses and timeline at the field level to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure the safety of personnel within the scope of work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field in a timely manner.
• Provide regular coaching and feedback to assistant superintendents and forepersons.
• Plan and supervise craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedule, and labor budgets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 5 years of experience supervising self-perform construction crews.
• Ability to independently resolve and escalate issues when needed.
• Progressive view on safety practices and program implementation.
• Experience with solar pile driving, racking, module installation, and tracker systems.
• Track record of training and orienting new employees.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
• Monitor and report on construction activities for compliance with the CPM schedule.
• Assist craft/subcontractors in resolving problems related to drawings, schedule, quality, cost reporting, and safety.
• Monitor solar construction productivity, progress, and cost, reporting to Construction Manager and Field Project Controls Manager.
