Do you love reading, writing, and inspiring young minds? We are seeking full and part-time state-licensed English & Reading Teachers to support students in developing strong literacy skills through engaging lessons and interactive learning activities.
This role is in-person and designed for passionate educators who want to help students improve their comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
OverviewAs an English and Reading/Writing Teacher, you will deliver structured lesson plans designed to enhance students’ reading comprehension, writing abilities, and critical thinking skills. You will work with students in small group settings and one-on-one sessions to ensure personalized instruction.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging English & reading lessons using pre-designed curriculum.
- Assist students with reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and writing techniques.
- Provide structured guidance on grammar, sentence structure, and essay writing.
- Encourage critical thinking through literature analysis and discussion.
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted instruction.
- Track student progress and offer constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in English, Education, Communications, or related field.
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with students is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, writing mechanics, and reading comprehension strategies.
- Ability to engage students in creative and interactive learning activities.
- Passion for literacy education and helping students develop confidence in reading and writing.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
- Ability to pass any required county or state background checks for working with children.
All new teachers must complete a short training program before beginning instruction. Training includes:
- Teaching Strategies – How to engage students in reading and writing.
- Curriculum Overview – Understanding lesson plans & instructional methods.
- Classroom Management – How to create an effective and welcoming learning environment.
- Student Assessment Techniques – Providing feedback and progress tracking.
