Overview

Little Pigeon Baptist is seeking God’s will for a pastor who preaches the whole Word of God, nurtures spiritual growth, and leads with a servant’s heart. We are a loving congregation of approximately 50 and are the oldest continuously active Baptist church in Indiana. We are an independent Baptist church in doctrinal alignment with Southern Baptists.

• Prepare and deliver expository preaching for Sunday morning worship.
• Prepare and lead Wednesday evening Bible study.
• Provide a balanced ministry of preaching, teaching, evangelism and pastoral care.

• Must be a born again, baptized believer.
• Must believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and seek to preach and minister by its principles.
• Must meet the Biblical qualifications described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4.
• Demonstrate a clear calling by God to be a pastor.

• A supportive, close‑knit and loving congregation.
• Flexibility and understanding of bi‑vocational ministry.
• Pay will be commensurate with experience and ability.

Little Pigeon Baptist is located in Spencer County, Indiana, with the church situated off Highway 231 at County Road 1250, approximately 30 miles from Owensboro. The membership represents communities within the county.
