About the RoleThe Assessment Lead owns the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of both virtual and in-person standardized assessments for Open Ed students across the state in Indiana. Serving as the primary subject matter expert for designated assessments, this role develops deep expertise in assessment requirements, administration protocols, testing platforms, and state-specific implementation expectations.
The Assessment Lead manages all operational aspects of assessment delivery, including test planning, identifying testing locations, scheduling, student rostering, proctor readiness, testing logistics, platform access, data management, score reporting, and compliance monitoring. Working closely with internal teams,, schools, and teachers, the Assessment Lead ensures testing events are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable requirements.
This role serves as the operational lead during active testing windows, facilitating successful testing experiences, resolving real-time issues, and ensuring timely and accurate assessment data and results. The Assessment Lead also partners with Student Success, Family Success, and other stakeholders to provide assessment guidance, resources, reporting, and support throughout the assessment lifecycle.
Previous school-based experience implementing standardized testing and valid Indiana teaching credentials required.
Travel to testing locations (e.g., schools, libraries, hotels), is required during peak testing periods, with potential for overnight stays
Key ResponsibilitiesBe the subject matter expert on each assessment, testing requirements, assessment details, testing implementation specifics, proctor requirements, and related details for all assessments and testing events in Indiana. Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership by delivering data-driven assessment recommendations and taking full ownership of their end-to-end implementation across Indiana
