Job SummaryThe Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to undergraduate students in economics. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and service activities, contributing to the academic environment and mission of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching:
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials for undergraduate courses in economics.
- Create and manage course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate and grade student performance, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Research:
- Conduct original research in economics and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and theses.
- Stay current with developments in the field of economics and integrate findings into teaching.
- Service:
- Participate in departmental and faculty meetings and committees.
- Engage with the academic community through conferences and workshops.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and academic programs.
- Advising:
- Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them with course selection and career guidance.
- Education:
a Master’s in Economics degree with relevant experience may be considered. - Experience:
Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is highly desirable. - Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and inspire students; proficiency in relevant software and tools for teaching and research. - Research: A record of scholarly publications or ongoing research projects is preferred.
