Manufacturing Engineer Our Wimborne Curtiss-Wright site is growing! We are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to our team. The Manufacturing Engineer’s role is key to driving process improvements, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output across our business.

****** Your Challenge:
******* Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by designing and validating manufacturing methods, tooling, and layouts
* Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth production handover
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
* Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans
* Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and support Six Sigma projects
* Assist in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and technologies.
* Provide direct support to production teams and resolve technical challenges on the shop floor
* Ensure process Standardisation and stability across manufacturing operations
* Any other duties (considered reasonable) as and when required by the business

* Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
* Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
