Hydraulics Engineer

Overview

RGI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hydraulics Engineer to support a variety of drainage and civil engineering projects. This role involves performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, preparing drainage design plans, and developing construction documents using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Duties & Requirements

• Prepare drainage design plans for a variety of civil engineering projects
• Perform drainage analysis and storm sewer modeling using programs such as Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA) or equivalent
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for a variety of civil engineering projects
• Prepare construction plans and details using AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Prepare design and quantity calculations
• Prepare reports and other documentation
• Perform site visits and inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering required
• 4 - 7 years of experience, minimum
• Willing to work on a variety of different project types.
• Ability to visit and safely traverse project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
• Holds a Professional Engineering (PE) license (Indiana preferred), or is eligible to sit for the PE exam within one year.

Preferred Experience with:

• INDOT transportation experience
• AutoCAD
• Civil3D
• Microsoft Office products include Excel and Word
