Job Description & How to Apply Below

Change the world. Love your job.

As an Analog ESD Product Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with TI’s industry-leading analog products for precision analog, power management, imaging, audio, high-speed converter and interface applications. You will be exposed to a variety of technologies from deep-submicron, analog CMOS, to high-voltage BiCMOS.

This position provides an excellent view of the entire commercial semiconductor flow from technology development to productization support and circuit design, to product qualification; yielding a platform for strong interaction with technology development, product, and reliability groups.

The primary purpose of the Analog ESD Product Specialist is to improve design quality and eliminate unwanted design iterations caused by ESD-induced failures, while continually improving ESD protection effectiveness and area efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop and implement ESD protection structures for analog products using TI’s analog processes
  • Perform ESD reviews on TI analog products
  • Perform ESD troubleshooting on TI analog products that fail internal, or customer, qualification requirements.
  • Assist with the design and development of test structures for ESD assessment of TI’s analog process technologies.
  • Maintain ESD protection structure libraries and ESD design guideline documents to be used by TI design engineers and I/O cell developers.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. with 10 years of experience or MSEE with 15 years of experience in the field of Analog ESD Design support. As an Analog ESD Product Specialist, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of the following:

  • Analog and digital circuit operation
  • Diode, resistor, bipolar and FET high current device physics
  • Typical CMOS and Analog silicon process flows and the underlying process physics
  • High Voltage ESD Design (>20V)
  • Additionally, strong “hands‑on” lab experience and excellent problem solving skills are a must.

This position requires a high level of attention to details and self-organization. It is extremely important to be self-directed, pro‑active, and innovative. You must have both the ability to manage multiple tasks within a single job and the ability to manage multiple jobs, to meet required deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
