We are looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer focused on machine building and its related parts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in procurement, proficiency in SAP MM, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting in sourcing market surveillance and scouting for process plant construction
- Ensuring on‑time deliveries at the right quality
- Performing procurement exercises for different parts
- Managing supplier rating and relationship management
- Maintaining QMS documentation
- Following up with suppliers for machine building and its components
- Maintaining material masters, info records, and vendor master’s within the SAP MM module
- Releasing purchase orders and monitoring on‑time material receipts and vendor payments
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date vendor records, ensuring legal and statutory compliances
- Pipe manufacturing, welding, machining, fabrication, forging, press parts, plates
- Electrical panels manufacturing, electrical and electronic components
- Catalogue items such as pumps, tools, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Surface treatment works, blasting, painting
Understanding engineering drawings, including GD&T; teamwork and self‑motivation; awareness of environmental, health, safety, and energy requirements as IMS standards.
Required Qualifications- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 4 to 12 years of experience in engineering purchases
- Willingness to travel within India
- Experience working in an engineering company or with project equipment
- Proficiency in SAP MM, MS applications, and knowledge of engineering materials
- Familiarity with ERP, preferably SAP, to maintain purchasing data such as vendor records
- Strong communication skills for an international context
- Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative and as part of a cross‑functional team
- Diploma / Graduate / MBA in Materials Management
- Basic German language knowledge
- Integrated Management System Auditor certification
- Experience using the Jaggaer supplier platform
