This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the highest standards of quality across complex industrial and engineering projects within the clean energy sector. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems that support the full lifecycle of advanced electrolysis and hydrogen infrastructure projects. Operating at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and project delivery, you will ensure compliance, reliability, and excellence from design through commissioning and customer handover.

The position combines strategic quality leadership with hands‑on execution across fabrication and construction activities. You will also work closely with suppliers and third‑party inspectors across Europe to ensure alignment with strict technical and regulatory standards. This is a high‑impact role for a detail‑oriented leader passionate about building robust quality frameworks in a fast‑evolving renewable energy industry.

Accountabilities
  • Lead quality management activities across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and delivery
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, and project‑specific quality programs

  • Define Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality hold points, and ensure compliance across manufacturing and construction processes
  • Oversee non-conformance management, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate supplier qualification, audits, and performance evaluation in collaboration with Supply Chain teams
  • Review and approve technical documentation such as drawings, weld maps, material lists, and manufacturing records for compliance
  • Develop quality clauses for supplier contracts and support PED 2014/68/EU conformity assessments and EU declarations of conformity
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and ensure resolution of punch‑list items prior to shipment
  • Manage End‑of‑Manufacturing Record Books and ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Welding, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in quality roles within industrial equipment, fabrication, manufacturing, or large‑scale engineering projects
  • At least 4+ years in a Quality Manager or equivalent leadership position
  • Strong experience managing quality systems, supplier quality, inspections, and third‑party quality resources
  • Proven track record delivering quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects, preferably in Europe
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments, including welded assemblies, pressure equipment, and complex technical systems
  • Strong knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, and PED 2014/68/EU; additional regulatory frameworks (ASME, EN, ATEX, etc.) are a strong advantage
  • Experience working with suppliers, fabricators, and engineering teams in cross‑functional, international environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

    Fluent in English;
German or Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% across European project and fabrication sites
Benefits
  • Opportunity to contribute to large‑scale clean energy and hydrogen infrastructure projects
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and market standards
  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, insurance, and wellbeing support
  • Equity participation and long‑term incentive programs (depending on role eligibility)
  • Annual bonus and additional performance‑based rewards
  • Flexible work arrangements with significant European travel exposure
