Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in machine design, gears, bearings, weldments, and mechanical assemblies. The role involves creating and modifying CAD models, preparing engineering drawings, supporting design changes, and ensuring compliance with ASME standards. The ideal candidate will have strong DFM/DFA knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in machine design with strong knowledge of gears, bearings, shafts, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Hands‑on experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Experience creating and modifying 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of weldments, weld maps, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 standards and GD&T principles.
  • Experience preparing BOMs and supporting engineering change requests.
  • ASME B31.3 piping experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Create and modify CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Support machine design projects and implement engineering changes.
  • Develop fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
  • Support design reviews and recommend design improvements.
  • Ensure designs meet ASME standards and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborative team environment.
  • Requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and experience levels.
