Joining our Field Service Department means taking on a key technical role in developing and maintaining our commissioning capabilities. As Commissioning Competence Lead, you will strengthen the competence of the commissioning engineer pool and act as the central technical reference for commissioning practices in rotating equipment applications across the petrochemical and power sectors. You will maintain commissioning standards, training concepts, tools, procedures, and documentation to ensure the team is equipped and ready to deliver high-quality field assignments.

What you will do
  • Developing and maintaining commissioning procedures and quality documentation
  • Managing the deployment, maintenance, and upkeep of the commissioning tool inventory
  • Creating and conducting training programs for field commissioning engineers
  • On‑site commissioning assignments as required by demand and resource availability
  • Providing remote technical support to field teams and customers during unexpected events or troubleshooting
What makes you the ideal fit
  • Technical apprenticeship and/or degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of 8+ years in commissioning, preferably including senior, lead, or competence‑development responsibilities
  • Extensive hands‑on experience in commissioning, start‑up, and maintenance of turbo machinery
  • Solid understanding of control systems for equipment and auxiliaries
  • Proficient in reading technical documentation and writing structured reports
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Reliable, organized, and customer‑oriented team player with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German; proficient in MS Office
