We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to develop their technical expertise while working on the design, development, testing, manufacture, and lifecycle support of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and complete machine systems.
Working closely with experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to a wide range of activities across new build projects, upgrades, retrofits, diagnostics, testing, and service support. This role offers structured development and mentoring, providing a strong foundation for a long-term engineering career within a specialist and technically challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the design and development of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and associated components.
- Support engineering projects involving machine upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
- Produce and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
- Assist with testing activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Support diagnostics, fault finding, and root cause investigations on electrical equipment.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong interest in electrical machines, power systems, or rotating equipment.
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles and fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering drawing packages.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery, power generation, motors, or generators.
- Experience gained through placements, internships, university projects, or previous engineering roles.
