• The candidate will have several direct & indirect employees.
• Under the general direction of the Plant Head / Operation Head, the incumbent is responsible operation of Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) as per the generation schedule.
• The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently.
• This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis to highlight areas for improvement.
• This ideal candidate should have experience in communication with load centres for any generation schedule change etc.
• The candidate should communicate efficiently with various department to operate plant efficiently.

• Perform start / stop of the units as per the generation schedule in close coordination of client as well as Load Dispatch centre.
• Perform efficient use of Turbine / Pump and reservoir to maximise the utilization of the available resources.
• Prepare various report like Daily Performance Report, Daily Generation Report, Water Utilization, Breakdown Report, Plant Availability and various other report as per the format described.
• Prepare risk assessment and action plan for every activity of power generation in close coordination of EHS representative and review.
• Performing troubleshoot / extend help to system expert to identify breakdown / preventive / shutdown maintenance for bringing down the down-time to minimum level.
• Understand the vibration analysis of various equipments installed in Plant.
• Preparation of SOPs and Local Operating procedures for safe & efficient Operation of the Plant and encourage team to follow the same.
• Manage a work force that is motivated, flexible in skills, cross-trained and technically astute ensuring an effective and motivated team.

• Operating the Hydro Power Plant / PSP as Shift In-charge efficiently in according the generation schedule and reservoir availability.
• Coordination with load centre / various departments for efficiently operation of the plant.
• Monitoring of machine parameters to improve MTBF.
• Demonstrate good understanding of working of Hydro Electrical equipments like GIS, Generator, LT / MV system, PLCs, Electrical Protection Relays, Plant Instruments etc.
• Experienced with use of Microsoft Office tools, with emphasis on Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
• Demonstrated leadership, competent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Other skills required include knowledge and the ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
• Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
• Incumbent must adhere to established policies and procedures.

• Minimum Qualification:
  
  Regular B.E. / B Tech in Electrical Engineering from reputed government, private, autonomous institiute recognised under AICTE, New Delhi.
• Overall 10 years of experience in a hydro power plant / PSP out of which a minimum 03 - 05 years' of experience as shift In-charge of Hydro Plant / PSP of not less than 100 MW capacity.
• Should have experience of O&M in hydro power plants / PSP of 100 MW capacity.
• Adept at various tools for breakdown analysis of various equipments for reducing downtime and enhancing operational effectiveness of equipment.

• Microsoft office tool.

• Reporting will be Direct – To Plant Head / Operation In-charge
