Blackfield Associates are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer to support their search for a Automation Project Scheduler to join their project based in Indiana on an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities- es Develop, maintain, and manage detailed automation project schedules covering design, procurement, software development, FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activitie
- s.Integrate automation schedules with engineering, construction, CQV, process, utilities, and equipment schedules to ensure alignment across the projec
- t.Build and maintain schedule logic, dependencies, milestones, and critical path activities for automation systems and controls infrastructur
- e.Coordinate with automation engineers, system integrators, vendors, construction teams, and project controls personnel to validate progress and forecast upcoming activitie
- s.Track schedule performance, identify risks, constraints, and delays, and develop recovery plans to support project milestone
- s.Monitor vendor and contractor deliverables related to automation systems, ensuring timely completion of engineering, programming, testing, and commissioning activitie
- s.Facilitate weekly planning sessions, progress reviews, and look-ahead meetings with automation and project stakeholder
- s.Provide schedule analysis and reporting, including critical path assessments, progress updates, resource loading, and milestone trackin
- g.Support management of automation scope changes and assess their impact on project schedules and key delivery date
- s.Ensure turnover, commissioning, and qualification activities are properly sequenced and aligned with automation system readines
- s.Collaborate with project leadership to develop mitigation strategies and optimize execution plans to support project objective
- s.Maintain accurate project controls data and provide regular updates to project management and stakeholder
- red Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Controls, Construction Management, or a related discipli
- ne.sufficient project scheduling experience on large capital projects within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or industrial manufacturing environmen
- ts.
Proven experience supporting automation, controls, SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, or manufacturing execution projec - ts.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and experience with integrated project scheduling methodologi - es.
Strong understanding of automation project life cycles, including design, software development, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activiti - es.
Experience integrating schedules across multiple disciplines, including construction, engineering, CQV, utilities, and process syste - ms.
Ability to perform critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, resource planning, and risk assessme - nt.
Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical project delivery process - es.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skil - ls.
Experience working with EPCM contractors, system integrators, equipment vendors, and multidisciplinary project tea - ms.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlin
