CERN’s Electrical Engineering Group manages power distribution from high to low voltage, fibre optics, and cabling for the accelerator complex. Within the Electrical Design and Documentation Office, you will support electrical design activities under senior guidance across key projects, including low voltage network renovation of the SPS electrical substations, upgrades of the Meyrin Computer Centre UPS network, and design support during Long Shutdown 3 on various projects.

Your role focuses on low voltage distribution design, equipment sizing, protection and lighting studies, progressively leading to more complex project responsibilities.

• You are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the Final date to receive applications, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
