As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a Full-Time Optical Application Support Engineer to help grow our market presence, support our customers, and strengthen our technical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main technical point of contact for internal teams and customers, responding to inquiries about our optical products.
- Advise customers on product specifications, applications, and capabilities.
- Perform hands‑on testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting tailored to customer requirements.
- Work closely with our Singapore headquarters to provide feedback on product launches and assist in developing technical documentation.
- Support customer visits together with sales colleagues by offering expert technical guidance.
- Assist with preparing quotations and processing orders when required.
- Contribute to internal projects aimed at improving efficiency, workflows, and service quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, Optics, or related fields).
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience; candidates with strong technical aptitude but limited experience are welcome to apply.
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works).
- Familiarity with optical alignment techniques and considerations for thermal and vibration control in sensitive assemblies.
- Hands‑on experience in optical alignment and integration is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of optical‑mechanical interfaces.
- Strong attention to detail for engineering documentation and system integration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across optical, electronics, and systems engineering functions.
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting and supporting system deployments.
- Strong analytical skills applicable in both laboratory and field environments.
