MEP/CX- ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
The primary role of the MEP-Cx Assistant Project Manager is to provide technical support on projects from conceptual design through project handover. This position supports the project team by coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and specialty building systems while helping maintain schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. The role also strengthens customer relationships by delivering responsive service, coordinating technical information, and serving as a liaison between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
As experience develops, the MEP Assistant Project Manager assumes increasing responsibility for assigned scopes, mentoring Project Engineers, and supporting business development and operational initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in engineering design, facility management/operations, construction management, or related work.
- Basic understanding of the design, installation, and operation of engineered systems for mission critical, educational, medical, lab, industrial, or similar projects.
- Ability to communicate with multiple levels across the organization and effectively convey technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
- Working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to navigate REVIT and AutoCAD documents.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Revitzo, Procore, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience supporting healthcare, mission critical, industrial, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or commercial construction projects.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- LEED, WELL, or commissioning experience.

- Participate in constructability reviews and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Review A/E documents (specifications and drawings) for compliance with owner requirements, applicable codes, constructability, and industry standards.
- Participate in page turns with the client and A/E team.
- Assist the A/E team and subcontractors in identifying VE and cost reduction items.
- Assist in the identification and procurement of long-lead items.
- Assist in developing subcontractor scopes of work.
- Support preparation of bid packages and procurement strategies.
- Assist in developing project execution and commissioning strategies.
- Coordinate assigned MEP subcontractors throughout construction.
- Assist in tracking critical system installation.
- Manage submittal, RFI, and change management processes for assigned scopes.
