Accounts Receivable Analyst
Position location is flexible and may office from a branch within Indiana
Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
Up to 28 hours/week
OverviewWorking as Part‑time Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will work with new and existing customers continually accessing current account state, identifying issues attributing to account delinquency, and implementing process improvement to optimize the order to cash cycle. You will lead discussions internally and externally with all pertinent stakeholders. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
Responsibilities- Performing analytical reviews of customer statements
- Establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders
- Assisting in identifying customer payment applications
- Continuing evaluation of the structure with accounts, billing, collections and SOPs
- Leading communications internally and externally through phone and email
- Building financial reports, metrics, and visuals that highlight business impact
- Evaluating data to identify trends, root cause issues and determine solutions
- Resolving current account delinquencies & reducing the number of days out
- Participating in business solution development and training sales team
- Serving as an expert regarding billing mechanisms and solutions
- Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting/Finance OR possess at least 1 year of accounting or Fastenal work experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
- Possess experience leading team projects
- Possess Accounting, Collections, Accounts Receivable or Sales Tax work experience
