Reports To:

CEO/COO (and Audit Committee/Board as applicable)

Role Summary

As the Finance Director, you will be the senior finance leader responsible for finance governance, reporting integrity, treasury, and financial compliance across the UAE and Switzerland. You will design and run an audit‑ready finance operating model, ensure timely statutory/tax filings, and implement inter‑company and transfer pricing execution that is defensible and well‑documented. You will partner with executive leadership to improve visibility on performance, cash, and unit economics while building a scalable finance function.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Define and implement the finance strategy, policies, and operating cadence aligned to company objectives.
  • Establish a robust control environment: delegation of authority, approval workflows, and financial Governance standards.
  • Provide finance leadership to executive stakeholders with clear reporting, risk signaling, and decision support.
  • Own month‑end/quarter‑end close, management reporting, and financial analysis (P&L, balance sheet, Cash flow).
  • Ensure accounting policies are applied consistently across UAE and Switzerland.
  • Maintain clean intercompany reconciliations and ensure completeness/accuracy of financial records.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, external audits, and on‑time filing across both jurisdictions.
  • Manage tax/VAT compliance and ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and audit‑ready.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar and evidence packs for all critical submissions.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Execution
  • Implement and operate intercompany frameworks (e.g., cost allocations, services, IP/royalty where applicable).
  • Ensure intercompany agreements, benchmark logic, invoicing, and settlement are executed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure positions are practical, consistent, and defensible under scrutiny.
Treasury, Cash Management & Banking
  • Own cash forecasting, liquidity planning, payment controls, and banking relationships (UAE and Swiss banks).
  • Manage FX considerations and cross‑border payment documentation requirements.
  • Improve working capital discipline: collections, vendor terms, payment runs, and cash efficiency.
Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management
  • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; run scenario planning for growth and downside cases.
  • Build KPI frameworks and dashboards: runway, burn, margin, cost‑to‑serve, and performance by product/region.
  • Partner with functional leaders to drive cost discipline, vendor rationalization, and spend governance.
Team Building & Management
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing finance team (in‑house and outsourced providers).
  • Define roles, workflows, and service levels across accounting, FP&A, payroll coordination, and compliance support.
  • Ensure finance processes are scalable without sacrificing control and auditability.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Experience

10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership (Finance Director / Head of Finance / Controller).

Demonstrated track record managing multi‑entity finance across at least two jurisdictions, including Switzerland exposure.

  • Audit leadership and statutory reporting
  • Tax/VAT compliance oversight
  • Transfer pricing/inter‑company policy execution and documentation
  • Treasury and cross‑border cash movement controls

Experience in high‑growth technology environments; comfortable building systems/processes from early stage to scale.

Skills
  • Strong financial control mindset with high standards for accuracy, documentation, and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of international finance operations, intercompany mechanics, and transfer pricing execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management: clear communication with executives, auditors, banks, and advisors.
  • High ownership, strong prioritization, and ability to operate under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (required). Arabic is a plus.
