Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the internal controls framework, including SOX compliance, Internal Audit, and related control activities.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely, complete, and accurate execution of SOX controls and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Corporate Audit through regular meetings and support issue resolution.
- Monitor the progress and outcomes of control testing and process reviews.
- Function as the primary point of contact for testers and reviewers, addressing queries and clarifications.
- Partner with process owners to design and implement effective remediation plans.
- Define, track, and enhance quality and control effectiveness metrics.
- Support the design and implementation of fraud risk mitigation controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in Finance or Operations, with exposure to risk management, compliance, or internal/external audit
- Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements and frameworks
- Proven ability to evaluate, document, and strengthen internal controls within complex processes.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and root cause critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions aligned with organizational objectives and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and people skills.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a performance-driven, collaborative environment.
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operational activities within the function.
- Apply and enforce policies, procedures, and control standards.
- Ensure compliance with established guidelines and frameworks.
- Make decisions that directly impact operational performance and stakeholder outcomes.
- Collaborate regularly with team members, stakeholders, and management across levels.
- Support issue resolution through effective communication and problem-solving.
