"Summary

As a Grants Operations Coordinator, you will coordinate the post‑award administration of various grants assigned to one or more pediatric divisions. You interact with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants comply with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Generate forecasts to analyze financial trends, funding resources, and research impact of decisions on grant funding budgets.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance compared to sponsor budget, research variances, and provide insight into causes.
  • Assist administrative staff and research team in the creation, negotiation, and administration of grants, contracts, and research proposals.
  • Develop grant budgets pre‑award by monitoring compliance with sponsor, MCW policies/procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate the grant process from budget development to post‑award stage through closeout, collaborating with the Grants and Contracts Office and the Office of Sponsored Programs.
  • Ensure compliance with sponsor terms, MCW policies/procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Administer grant budgets and consolidate information to ensure complete documentation.
  • Maintain records of division grant activity and provide reports to leadership upon request.
  • Provide research‑related system support including iLab and Forte administration.
  • Oversee completion of special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Required

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum

    Required Experience:

    4 years of experience.
  • Preferred Education:

    Master’s Degree.
  • Preferred Experience:

    4 or more years of grant coordination and administration.
  • Knowledge of economics, accounting, mathematics, administration, English language, law, government, and human resources.
  • Competencies including resource management, mathematics, problem solving, coordinating work activities, critical thinking, systems analysis, operations analysis, time management, writing, active listening, and active learning skills.
Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids in an environmentally controlled environment.
