As an Associate Financial Planner, you will work closely with Sr. Financial Planners and Sr. Relationship Managers to develop customized financial plans, monitor client progress, and provide ongoing support. This position involves assisting in client meetings, conducting research, analyzing financial data, and preparing recommendations to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial plans, investment proposals, and retirement projections using financial planning software and tools.
  • Perform asset allocation analysis necessary for client onboarding and portfolio reviews.
  • Proactively review and follow up on potential new clients and/or new assets from existing clients.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting financial plans, explaining recommendations, and addressing client questions and concerns.
  • Monitor client progress towards financial goals and recommend adjustments to investment strategies as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of investment recommendations, including account opening, fund transfers, and asset allocation changes.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting financial planning and investment management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding promptly to inquiries and proactively addressing client needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related subject
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification, CIMA® or CFA® is a plus
  • 2-5 years in a financial planning, client-facing role
  • Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Money Guide Pro , eMoney Advisor) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will have significant contact with the clients of the firm

This position offers a competitive salary within a predetermined range consistent with our internal compensation guidelines. In accordance with Maryland law, the specific wage range, benefits, and additional compensation will be provided upon request or during the hiring process.
