We are currently seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to serve within a school-based setting as part of our integrated healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to support students in a medically underserved community while collaborating with school staff and in-house wraparound services, including Outreach Specialists, Care Managers, and Patient Care Coordinators.

This role is ideal for a therapist who is passionate about youth mental health, early intervention, and working within educational environments to promote student success and emotional wellbeing.

Job Summary

The School-Based Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist provides direct behavioral health services to students within the school setting. The therapist conducts psychosocial assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides therapeutic counseling, and delivers crisis intervention when needed.

Working collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, families, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the therapist supports students’ emotional, behavioral, and social development while promoting continuity of care and academic success.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide individual and family counseling within the school environment
  • Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed during the school day
  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Participate in student support meetings and interdisciplinary case conferences
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and external community resources
  • Support smooth transitions of care between school, home, and community services
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Apply knowledge of state and county reporting requirements related to child protective services
  • Contribute to school-wide behavioral health initiatives and prevention programming
  • Participate in team-based quality improvement and care coordination efforts
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Active Indiana licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC (required)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or in a school-based or youth-serving setting preferred
  • CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
  • Knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements for child protective services
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a school and healthcare team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
