Position SummaryThe Physical Therapist (PT) is a professional caregiver who is accountable for performing safe and effective physical therapy in areas of acute care-inpatient. The PT selects, administers, and develops all physical therapy programs within the medical center for all patients within the guidelines of the physicians' orders. The PT exemplifies the IRMC mission, vision and values, and acts in accordance with IRMC policies and procedures to ensure that quality care is provided.
SkillsRequired
- BLS certification required.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and members of the IRMC organization.
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills necessary to function in an independent environment.
- Ability to convey directions and interact with patients with multiple age-specific needs.
BS degree in Physical Therapy, Master’s or DPT preferred.
Licensure/Certification RequiredEligible or holds current licensure in the state of PA as an PT. Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
