Job Details Description

In this role you will be:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in areas such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts, based on certifications and clinical need.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and address any questions or concerns.
• Prepare and position patients properly for imaging to ensure optimal image quality.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings based on exam requirements and patient anatomy.
• Capture and analyze sonographic images to assist in diagnosis, ensuring proper documentation in PACS and EMR systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists and providers to ensure appropriate protocols and follow‑up imaging when needed.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform daily quality assurance checks.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines, including universal precautions and proper handling of supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document relevant medical history, symptoms, and exam findings.
• Assist with training of new staff or students as directed.
• Support departmental workflow and scheduling, ensuring timely and efficient patient care.

• EDUCATION: Successful completion of an approved school of ultrasonography program.
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years current ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Registered with the ARRT(M) upon hire
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
