Overview

Following established procedures, assists in cardiac diagnostic and interventional catheterizations and peripheral angiography procedures. Is responsible for fluoroscopic, imaging, and recording equipment. Is able to assess and provide the appropriate equipment to treat adult and geriatric patients. Must be able to work as a team member as well as independently. Must possess the necessary acuities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cardiac diagnostic and interventional catheterizations and peripheral angiography procedures following established procedures.
  • Manage fluoroscopic, imaging, and recording equipment; ensure appropriate equipment is available to treat adult and geriatric patients.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team or work independently as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum

    Education Required:

    Must have completed an accredited radiology technologist program.
  • Minimum Experience

    Required:

    Two to three years of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification

    Required:

    Must be currently registered with ARRT in good standing; BLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire); ACLS certification within 6 months; AART (CV) certification preferred but not required; RCIS certification preferred.
Skills
  • Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings, pacemakers, and related equipment; able to use radiographic equipment and manage patients with varying conditions.
  • Experience with electric counter shock techniques.
  • Ability to function as a team member and demonstrate surgical asepsis.
  • Must possess the necessary acuities to perform the essential functions of this position.
