Coral Tree is seeking an exceptional General Manager to join our prestigious team at Kaiya Beach Resort, a destination rooted in intentional design, modern coastal luxury, and a deep connection to wellness and sense of place.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, from sales and marketing to engineering and human resources, while serving as the steward of the Kaiya experience. You will lead the property’s executive committee, driving operational excellence and shaping a hospitality environment where architecture, nature, service, and community exist in harmony.

ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:
- Drive operating success and profitability of the property, achieving financial goals and expectations as established in the annual business plan while maintaining the integrity of the Kaiya guest experience.
- Lead the marketing and positioning of the property, developing innovative strategies that distinguish Kaiya as a premier coastal lifestyle destination defined by design, wellness, and sense of place.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve business objectives, consistently delivering accurate forecasting projections and implementing effective adjustments to ensure both profit integrity and experience excellence.
- Maintain exceptional levels of guest and team member satisfaction, fostering an environment that consistently exceeds expectations and reflects Kaiya’s culture of authenticity, warmth, and elevated service.
- Effectively represent the property in the local community, regionally, and nationally, building strong relationships and serving as an ambassador for the Kaiya brand, lifestyle, and vision.
- Ensure the property operates safely and securely according to property and company standards, prioritizing the health, well-being, and comfort of guests and team members.
- Build personal credibility by demonstrating the highest ethical standards, inspiring trust with ownership, guests, team members, residents, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the career development of self and others by attracting and retaining high-performing talent, supporting continuous learning, and cultivating a culture of purpose, collaboration, and growth.
- Manage organizational change productively, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while empowering teams to succeed.
- Foster a guest service-focused culture, ensuring every touchpoint reflects Kaiya’s philosophy of intentional hospitality, refined simplicity, and meaningful connection.
- Create strategic alignment between owner/company goals, property goals, and individual goals, ensuring clarity of vision and shared success.
- Balance the needs of the ownership group, guests, residents, and team members, maintaining a harmonious and productive environment that supports long-term value creation.
- Possess a thorough understanding of financial performance, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, hospitality accounting, and internal control principles to ensure sound financial management and compliance.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced with at least 6 years of hotel or resort operations experience, preferably within luxury, lifestyle, or experience-driven hospitality environments; OR equivalent industry experience.
- A college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree (associate’s degree considered) in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A strategic and inspirational leader with a passion for service excellence and creating meaningful guest experiences.
- Organized, personable, and possessing strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong in financial and operational management with demonstrated business acumen.
- Passionate about lifestyle hospitality, design-forward environments, and wellness-driven guest experiences.
