Technical Expertise

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • IaC:
    Expert‑level experience in writing and managing Terraform scripts/modules.
  • Automation:
    Proficient in scripting with Java, Python and Bash.
  • Database:
    Deep understanding of Oracle Database services, performance tuning, and deployment best practices (Autonomous DB, Exadata).
  • Networking:
    Strong understanding of cloud networking (TCP/IP, VCN, routing, NSGs, VPNs, load balancers).
  • Security:
    Solid grasp of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and vault management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: OCI Certified Architect Professional or equivalent certifications in AWS/Azure.
  • Containers:

    Experience with Kubernetes (OKE) and Docker.
  • Data Platforms:
    Exposure to data services like OCI Data Flow, AI/ML pipelines, or data engineering workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, take operational ownership, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on technical documentation and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving ability in high‑impact, production‑grade environments.
  • A proactive, automation‑first mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

I. Architecture and Deployment

  • Design and architect complex, highly available OCI‑based solutions supporting hybrid/multi‑cloud strategies.
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize Oracle Database services, including Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW), Exadata Cloud, and DBCS for OLTP and analytical use cases.
  • Implement zero‑trust security models, including Vault/KMS management and granular access controls in compliance with enterprise security standards.

II. Automation and Dev Ops

  • Build reusable, modular infrastructure using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or equivalent tools to streamline deployment and testing workflows.
  • Automate tasks and orchestration workflows using Java, Python, Bash, and OCI REST APIs to increase operational efficiency.

III. Networking and Observability

  • Design and configure secure network architectures using VCN, DRG, Load Balancers, and Gateways to enable resilient and low‑latency connectivity.
  • Implement observability solutions using OCI Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and other tools to ensure reliability and system health.
  • Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and document system improvements for reliability and uptime.
