We are seeking a skilled Managed Services Engineer to join a growing team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies, combined with a strong understanding of Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms.
This role will require a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, delivering top-notch IT solutions and support.

Key Responsibilities- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices (switches, routers, and wireless solutions).
- Implement and maintain Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.
- Perform regular network health checks and optimize performance.
- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Perform patch management, upgrades, and backups.
- Manage and maintain virtualized environments, including VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Deploy and troubleshoot virtual machines and related services.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement IT infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain documentation for client environments and project work.
- Respond to escalations and provide Tier 2/3 support for complex issues.
- Monitor and manage security policies and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements.
- 3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking (certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred).
- Proficiency with Fortinet products (e.g., Forti Gate firewalls; NSE certification is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper‑V).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Scripting/automation skills (Power Shell, Python, etc.).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple client needs in a high-demand environment.
- Collaborative mindset, willing to assist and share knowledge with the team.
