Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This trainee position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between April and June 2026. Trainees will participate in our 12-month work and training program in our Ohio facilities.
Key Job Responsibilities- Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.
- Serve as a contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues.
- Successfully complete the 12‑month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Tolerate working in non‑climate‑controlled environments with temperature fluctuations.

Basic Qualifications- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with a manager.
- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
