Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

The salary range for this position is $134,954 - $168,692
, and the final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the role.

• Develop, implement, and maintain network security standards, baseline documentation, security diagrams, procedures, and audit evidence required for NERC CIP Network Security compliance; serve as the subject matter expert during CIP audits. *
• Design, configure, patch, and maintain firewalls, servers, security tools, network devices, and associated systems; perform system tuning, hardening, troubleshooting, and backup/restore functions for Linux and Windows environments. *
• Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, and network activity from firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and access administration tools; maintain SIEM configurations and reporting; perform vulnerability management and risk mitigation activities. *
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate technology updates that support current and long-term business needs. *
• Research emerging security vulnerabilities, technologies, and solutions to enhance the organization’s security posture. *
• Maintain RTU and Windows system knowledge to support operational needs and on-call responsibilities. *
• Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of EMS Maintenance. *

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or an equivalent combination of an associate degree, OEM certifications, or five (5) years of network-security experience.
• Preferred certifications include SANS GIAC, Security+, Network+, Linux+, MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, or SSCP.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems with a cybersecurity focus.
• Experience with security monitoring and analysis, including log correlation across firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering technologies, SIEM platforms, and related security tools; familiarity with current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive methodologies; experience with RSA authentication and enterprise password-management tools.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and Microsoft server/workstation environments; strong knowledge of network technologies, routing, switching, TCP/IP, packet analysis, and common protocols/ports; experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX security hardening; experience configuring ACLs, firewall rules, router security settings, and advanced Palo Alto firewall administration; familiarity with Microsoft SQL.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and network-security issues and apply Change Management processes in secure operational environments.
• Working knowledge of NERC CIP standards.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work in a professional office environment and access data centers, control-center technology rooms, and secured operational areas as required; ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; commitment to all organizational safety policies, procedures, and critical-infrastructure safety practices.
