About the PositionAs the Director of Workforce Transformation, you will be the human face of our competitive advantage and bring our operating playbook to life for state customers. You will partner with state leaders and local workforce boards to redesign their model—people, process, and platform—ensuring technology truly meets service needs.
What You’ll Own- Partner directly with state leaders and local workforce boards to perform deep‑ dive process autopsies, preserve effective practices, and eliminate inefficiencies; lead sessions to uncover bottlenecks.
- Serve as the primary technology translator, bridging customers’ desired outcomes with our system’s capabilities, and configure and launch tools that address their daily challenges.
- Translate high‑level workforce directives (referral processes, case management, programmatic financial tracking, labor‑exchange requirements, etc.) into clear technical process flows within Career Edge.
- Guide workforce boards to master new tools, moving beyond adoption to transformation that changes lives.
- Academic foundation (Bachelor’s or higher) with more than 5 years of workforce development experience.
- Background in workforce services at multiple levels—ideally across boards, regions, or states—providing a ground‑up understanding of delivery.
- Proven experience collaborating with state and local workforce boards, managing regional differences, and navigating complex local requirements.
- Fluent in both workforce and technology, with deep knowledge (5+ years) of WIOA, TANF, SNAP, and other workforce‑related contracts/programs.
- Strong project management skills, adept at managing multiple complex initiatives and shifting focus from state‑level leaders to frontline staff.
- Meticulous, critical thinker capable of thriving in the messy middle of transformations, offering well‑balanced opinions and the speed, research, and accuracy needed under pressure.
- Confidentiality, sensitivity, and tact are paramount, coupled with exceptional time‑management, organization, and verbal/written communication skills.
Substantial. Expect significant on‑site time with state and local customers during active implementations.
