MIS Manager (Microsoft Environment, Epicor ERP Support) – Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Job Description

Our prestigious client seeks an MIS Manager to direct, coordinate, and support two Information Systems departments. Key areas include ERP/MRP, development, compliance, and production activities at Fontana and Rancho facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Portray the organization positively, highlighting its capabilities, systems, equipment, and management.
  • Consult with business leaders to analyze Information Systems needs, determine project scope, priorities, and manage operations.
  • Manage a broad range of projects, including infrastructure and application development.
  • Supervise a small applications/development team using strong project‑management skills.
  • Prioritize a large number of initiatives and manage customer expectations.
  • Promote the strategic direction of the company and business unit, ensuring understanding of requirements and policy exceptions.
  • Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software procurements, budgeting, and staffing.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems.
  • Implement, support, and manage process‑control infrastructure where appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products, utilizing corporate solutions where available.
  • Provide end‑user support for software and hardware selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance, aligned with company and business‑unit guidelines.
  • Manage daily operations at the locations to minimize downtime of production schedules, including backup and restoration policies and prioritization of change and trouble tickets.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit and ASAT requirements, including change management and disaster recovery.
  • Meet regularly with location staff to discuss and prioritize work, needs, and potential process improvements.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Perform other work‑related duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in MIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in MIS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong management background supporting teams with remote members and organizations.
  • 4+ years of project‑management experience with midrange to large projects.
  • 5+ years of ERP/MRP support and/or management (Epicor ERP preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft environments, databases, and servers.
  • Background in development, with understanding of structured programming languages, database management, and queries.
  • Understanding of process‑control environments, robotics, historians, and supporting infrastructures.
  • Skilled at prioritizing and handling multiple objectives and projects for self and team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to protect confidential information and maintain positive relationships with diverse employee groups and external customers.
  • Experience composing, editing, and preparing correspondence and addressing policies and procedures.
