The Data Security team is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the protection of sensitive data across the organization. In this role, you will help execute operational data security processes, monitor risks, support security tooling, and ensure secure handling of information. This role is ideal for someone early in their cybersecurity career who is ready to contribute hands‑on within a structured and growing security program.

What You Will Do- Execute daily data security operational tasks within established procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor and triage data loss prevention (DLP) alerts, data access events and insider risk indicators, identify gaps and escalating issues appropriately.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation for investigations, audits, and control evidence;
Update procedures to current workflow as needed. - Assist with configuration and operation of data security tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, CASB, DSPM, encryption solutions).
- Translate technical findings into easy‑to‑understand summaries for project teams or nontechnical stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data security processes and recommend improvements.
- Organize and safeguard sensitive information following multiple compliance frameworks and risk management practices.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to support secure data handling practices and customer focused outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, OR equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of relevant technical experience.
- Foundational knowledge of data security concepts: encryption, DLP, data classification, access controls, data lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to follow structured procedures and elevate risks appropriately.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Demonstrated professionalism, compliance awareness, and ethical handling of sensitive information.
- Experience with DLP technologies (Microsoft Purview, Fortra, Symantec, etc.).
- Basic scripting knowledge (Power Shell, Python) to support automation.
- Experience processing tickets on platforms such as BMC or Service Now.
- Relevant certifications:
CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Information Security Administrator Associate, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), ITILv
