Data Scientist - Innovation

Builds scalable, modular procedures that extract valuable information from large and diverse data sources. Information extraction will be focused on direct product requests, internal operations improvement or custom requests and research from clients. Produces algorithms, models, tools, processes and configurations for organizing, analyzing and evaluating data, as well as measurement and visualization tools, reports, technical papers, patents and other means for conveying analysis results.

Collaborates broadly within the company and with external partners to unlock value in data collected from diverse sources in a way that addresses customer needs.

• Develops algorithms, tools, and processes for analysis of diverse, large-scale data sets with the goal of enhancing and expanding Comscore products and services
• Investigates new technologies that can become part of future products
• Investigates fraud in online advertising
• Produces summaries and visualizations of data for Product and Marketing groups
• Writes reports on results of analysis
• Participates as a member of teams that investigate data quality and new technologies

• 2-4+ years of related experience
• Ability to work individually, as a member of a small team, and as a member of a large team
• Ability to work under little supervision
• Experience in IT security or fraud detection

The regular hours for this position will cover a combination of business hours in the US and India – typically 2pm11pm IST. Occasionally, later hours may be required for meetings with teams in other parts of the world. Additionally, for the first 4-6 weeks of onboarding and training, US Eastern time hours (IST
-9:30) may be required.
