Drone Pilots; Beta Testers - Precision Agriculture

Field Co Pilot  ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is a Swiss platform connecting farms with certified drone pilots and enabling precision agriculture with AI.

The goal: help agricultural operations make better decisions using drone imagery and AI, without buying equipment or learning to fly. The project is backed by, Agroscope, Cluster Food Nutrition , Swiss Food Research, and the ADCF. An MVP is live. Full launch:
March 2027.

We're looking for certified drone pilots who are passionate about agriculture and want to be part of this from day one. As a Beta Tester pilot, you'll test platform features, run the first simulated missions, and provide the ground truth feedback that shapes the product.

The minimum commitment is one week during the summer season — enough to run real field missions, see the AI models process your imagery, and collect feedback from farmers on whether the tool actually helped. Of course, if you enjoy it and have availability, you're welcome to fly more. The idea is to build something together.

• Carry out mapping and agricultural imaging flights on behalf of farms (crop scouting, NDVI mapping, weed detection, stand counting, plant health)
• Fly the first simulated and real missions on the platform: receive the request, plan the route, execute, upload, and get paid — eventually
• See your data processed end-to-end: watch the AI models turn your raw imagery into NDVI maps, prescription zones, or anomaly detections
• Collect direct farmer feedback: did the tool help? was the data actionable? what would make it more useful?
• Have priority access to suggest improvements — new use cases, new crop types, new workflows — and to shape the UX for future drone pilots

We deliberately designed Field Co Pilot  to work across a wide range of setups — not just high-end sensor rigs. Here's what works:

• DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral — 4-band multispectral + 20MP RGB, built-in RTK, foldable, ~5,000 CHF. Top choice for accessible precision ag.
• DJI Phantom 4 Multispectral — 5-band multispectral array, widely used in Swiss research and agriculture
• DJI Matrice 300 RTK (or above) + Sentera 6X or 65R or Zenmuse P1/P2

• Any mapping-capable drone with a quality RGB camera and a flight planning app

If your drone isn't on this list, reach out — we evaluate compatibility on a case-by-case basis.

• FOCA-certified (A1/A2/A3 or STS) or equivalent recognized in Switzerland
• Available for at least one week during summer (June–September)
• Comfortable flying field mapping missions (grid patterns, overlap, GSD)
• Interest in precision agriculture, crop health, and agronomic decisions
• Curious, field-oriented, not afraid to give honest feedback

• First-hand view of how your imagery becomes an agronomic decision — you'll see the AI output and the farmer's reaction to it
• Priority to introduce new use cases and improvement suggestions before anyone else. Your field experience directly shapes what gets built.
• Head-start on paid missions when the platform launches (March 2027)
• Preferential subscription terms as an early partner pilot
• A reference and a network in Swiss precision agriculture
