As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Okta Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and advancing our enterprise-wide authentication and access management ecosystem. This critical role encompasses the comprehensive design, development, and optimization of our Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) infrastructure, driving technological innovation and security excellence. This pivotal role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Identity & Access Management.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic vision, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of technological security and efficiency.

What You’ll Do:
  • Review and lead the gathering of business, functional and technical requirements for establishing an Okta Identity platform.
  • Complete the assigned engagement tasks within the project scope and budget, while meeting deliverable requirements.
  • Hands‑on development/coding in Okta.
  • Create, update, and maintain metrics and reports to show progress and value of IAM program.
  • Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions for non‑human identities (service accounts, applications, and systems) to ensure secure authentication and authorization across the organization’s infrastructure and applications.
  • Review updates and new features of Okta and make recommendations for implementation to environment.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to IAM team.
  • Support the creation of project plans to develop and implement the proposed solution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Lead upgrades to Okta platform.
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and service delivery teams to understand their needs and deliver a cost‑effective solution.
  • Suggest new functionality as an improvement to existing OKTA platform.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Must have a minimum 5+ years of IAM experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the development and/or operational experience with Okta, including implementation, installation, configuration & administration of various components.
  • Hands on experience integrating applications with Okta SSO.
  • Hands on experience migrating legacy header‑based applications to modern authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth.
  • Hands‑on experience with OAG implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to effectively present SSO concepts to stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding.
  • Have knowledge and ability to create OKTA APIs for custom integrations and solutions.
  • Have a solid understanding of identity management and security policy concepts, protocols, and best practices.
