Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. You will be responsible to lead programs, enhance performance, and increase customer satisfaction.

Our Program Managers lead product programs and initiatives across the division from concept to market. We align product, engineering, and business teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. We are relied on by leaders across the organization to execute critical programs with high business impact.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations, Sales, Services, and Support to support the product roadmap.
• Proactively minimizing risks while developing alternative approaches for various scenarios.
• Maintaining and communicating backlog of work with key stakeholders, guiding them on priorities based on business needs.
• Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods.
• Maintaining and iterating on a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess 5+ years of experience in managing projects and programs effectively.
• Demonstrate experience working within a technical team and a good understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Have experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
• Have experience working with Internet technologies or protocols such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP.
• Be able to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability.
