- Design and implement robust network architectures that meet the needs of our clients and internal teams.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Implement security measures to safeguard network infrastructure against potential threats and breaches.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients regarding network-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements and upgrades to our network systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address network incidents and ensure continuous service delivery.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Train and mentor junior network engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Engage in vendor management to evaluate and procure network hardware and software solutions that align with business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and implementations.
- Previous experience in a managed services environment.
- Understanding of VoIP and video conferencing technologies.

Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc. - Network monitoring tools:
Solar Winds, Nagios, PRTG, etc. - Security tools:
Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN solutions. - Operating systems:
Windows, Linux, and Unix-based systems. - Collaboration tools:
Slack, Microsoft Teams, and project management software.
- This position is based in Howard County, Maryland, and may require occasional travel to client sites.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and may require visa sponsorship.
