Duration: 1 Year
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer for our Network Project in Sparks, Nevada. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures while troubleshooting complex network issues to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and provide WAN/LAN network administration, enterprise wireless, cloud administration (Azure), Cisco ACI, and Cisco/Palo Alto firewall administration.
- Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues, performing callbacks to ensure issues are resolved and an appropriate solution is provided to the customer.
- Initiate improvements in tools (Solar Winds, Panorama, Prime, Cisco DNA, Infoblox), gather requirements, and enhance processes to increase operational efficiency.
- Investigate causes of network issues, test solutions, and implement corrective measures to reduce the time taken to resolve network-related tickets.
- Make recommendations based on analytics to improve network performance and optimization of infrastructure.
- Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Understand network support priorities and objectives, taking an active role in accomplishing them.
- Maintain a strong understanding of network routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Demonstrate experience with WAN and backbone network protocols.
- Experience with next-generation firewall technology (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet) is desirable.
- Experience with cloud networks and/or security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Proven experience in network design and administration with a focus on WAN/LAN infrastructures.
- Experience in cloud network management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting advanced network issues.
- Experience with network management tools such as Solar Winds, Cisco DNA, and Infoblox.
- Strong knowledge of network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Familiarity with next-generation firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
