Network firewall Systems Architect

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Firewall Systems Architect with 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, network security, and firewall architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server environments, enterprise networking, firewall troubleshooting, and secure connectivity across complex enterprise infrastructures.

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Network Security, or Systems Architecture.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, enterprise networking, and storage infrastructure.
• Extensive hands-on experience with firewall configuration, network troubleshooting, and connectivity validation.
• Expertise in defining and validating firewall rules for third-party applications and verifying connectivity across TCP, UDP, and SMB protocols.
• Experience using packet capture, port testing, and other network diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server connectivity, including Browser Service, Named Instances, and authentication modes.
• Experience with NAS/SMB file sharing, including NTFS permissions and Share ACL configuration.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL certificate management and enterprise security best practices.
• Experience with enterprise logging, monitoring, and SIEM solutions such as Splunk or equivalent.
• Experience working within enterprise change management processes, providing technical guidance, validating network changes, and coordinating with infrastructure teams without directly implementing firewall changes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

• Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) environments.
• Experience supporting document capture, imaging, or document management platforms.
• Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure, networking, and security teams in large enterprise environments.
