Job Description The AWS Platform Engineer Principal role focuses on driving automation excellence and ensuring secure, high-performing systems within the Corporate organization. Located in Columbus, IN, this position requires a talented engineer with extensive experience in AWS services and automation tools. The engineer will lead technical direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize system performance and availability. This role is crucial for enhancing system resilience and delivering strategic integrations that support business growth.
Requirements

7-9+ years of hands-on expertise in AWS platform engineering.
Experience with automation using Terraform and Cloud Formation.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and platform governance.
Ability to lead and mentor teams on AWS platform best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related subject.

Responsibilities

Design, automate, and deploy AWS resources using CI/CD pipelines.
Guide the team on technical solution design and deployment feasibility.
Collaborate with application teams to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions.
Prioritize backlog items, feature stories, and platform enhancements in Jira.
Provide L3-L4+ support during major incidents, guiding teams on root cause analysis and resolution.
Lead troubleshooting across complex infrastructure, networking, and application integrations.
Drive technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Ensure accountability for delivery timelines, governance compliance, and operational stability.
