Our client is a large healthcare provider and academic health system serving communities across a broad regional network of hospitals, physicians, and specialty care services. With significant investments in new facilities—including a state-of-the-art downtown academic medical center and a new hospital in northeast Indiana—our client is committed to improving patient access, advancing innovation, and meeting the growing healthcare needs of the communities it serves.
As a Device Deployment Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of end-user devices within clinical and operational environments. You will ensure that hardware such as workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals are properly deployed and integrated with Epic systems to support patient care and business operations. This position requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work directly with clinical staff in fast-paced healthcare settings.
You will be responsible for device setup, validation, troubleshooting, on-site support, and accurate documentation of deployment activities, while delivering excellent communication and customer service.
- Install, configure, and test end-user devices including workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripheral equipment
- Ensure proper integration and functionality of devices and associated applications, including Epic systems
- Label, inventory, and accurately place devices according to organizational standards and deployment plans
- Perform device validation to confirm correct configuration, connectivity, and system performance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and support during and after deployment activities
- Interact professionally with clinical and operational staff to minimize workflow disruption and ensure a positive user experience
- Work across multiple facilities and departments, adapting to shifting priorities and project timelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployment activities, asset tracking, and issue resolution
- Experience deploying and supporting end-user devices in enterprise or healthcare environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed
- Experience in healthcare IT environments
- Knowledge of device imaging, asset management tools, and network connectivity basics
- Comfortable working directly with clinical staff in fast-paced healthcare settings
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities and project timelines
