• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills and assertiveness during negotiations
• Strong legal and contract understanding
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems, preferably SAP

Essential Functions Required for Job

• Disciplinary and functional management of strategic buyers to ensure compliance to policies and procedures throughout the procurement processes, from requisition to receipt of goods or services.
• Execute and oversee the purchasing of goods, services, and materials required by the plant, to ensure quality standards and competitive pricing.
• New vendor setup and relationship management.
• Request quotes for direct and indirect materials based on business needs.
• Negotiate contracts for advantageous terms with suppliers, including pricing and delivery schedules.
• Organize the collection and set-up of all relevant purchasing master data in SAP to maintain info records and schedule agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product/service specifications are met and resolve any issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
