Supply Chain Ops Associate

  • Pay Type:

    Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
  • Annual Salary: $50,000 per year based on experience
  • Schedule:

    Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; flexibility to work Saturdays as needed (overtime paid at time & a half)

Summary

The Supply Chain Ops Associate will be responsible for operational functions, independent decision‑making related to material availability and inventory control.

Essential Functions
  • Follow‐up on all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‑time delivery performance to support production requirements.
  • Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers; provide direction regarding ship schedules and containment plans when behind schedule; make decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules to push or pull material and expedite as needed based on inventory coverage.
  • Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to manufacturing lines; make decisions on mode and required delivery window to ensure continuity of production.
  • Coordinate and/or arrange alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys, if necessary.
  • Independent monitoring, set‑up, and cancellation of truck loads for material pick‑up to support schedule variations; ensure proper material coverage at lowest possible cost.
  • Review part buffers to ensure they cover build requirements; document and manage S and AV code exceptions; determine root‑cause and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments; investigate and process record adjustment requests from the previous shift.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED – required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.
  • 1 year or more of administrative experience – preferred.
  • 1 year or more of relevant experience – preferred.
  • Knowledge of MGO (GM’s MRP system) – intermediate – preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation management – intermediate – preferred.
  • Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes – intermediate – preferred.

Compensation
  • Salary: $50,000 per year, paid twice per month.
  • Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and/or type.
